Block Blast Unblocked

About This Game

Make a little room, then make a bigger plan. Block Blast Unblocked gives you an 8 × 8 board and three bright plastic pieces at a time. Fill a complete row or column to open space for the next shape. Colors add character; the shape and the empty cells decide what fits.

Classic starts with an empty board and lets you chase a personal best without a clock. Adventure offers one hundred original gem-collection puzzles, with fixed starting boards and a path of levels that unlock in order. Your unfinished games and records stay on this browser.

Game Features

  • One compact 8 × 8 board with no timer, no gravity and no color-matching requirement.
  • Thirty-seven fixed-orientation shapes, including long five-cell bars, 2 × 3 rectangles and the roomy 3 × 3 square.
  • Classic score runs and one hundred original Adventure puzzles with collectible gems and sequential unlocking.
  • Simultaneous row-and-column clears, growing Combo rewards and a real preview of lines your placement would complete.
  • A Save Slot, one free Skip per run, automatic local progress and separate high-score and Combo records.
  • Classic Color, Pastel Pop and Neon Night palettes, plus sound and reduced-motion support. Appearance never changes the rules.

How to Play

  1. Choose one of the three pieces and drag it onto empty cells. Every square must fit inside the board without overlapping another block. Pieces keep their shown orientation; you cannot rotate or flip them.
  2. Complete any of the eight-cell rows or columns to clear it. All lines completed by one placement clear together. A crossing square disappears once, and every other block stays exactly where it was.
  3. Use the current three pieces in any order. A fresh set arrives when the tray is used up. Look for a place for the largest shape before filling its only opening.
  4. Earn 10 points per cleared line, multiplied by your current Combo. The first clear uses ×1. Each later clearing placement can raise the multiplier once, while three placements in a row without a clear reset it.
  5. Use the Save Slot to hold a piece for later or exchange it with a candidate. You have one hold or swap per tray. Your one Skip per run replaces the remaining candidates without changing the board or the saved piece.
  6. In Adventure, clear lines through the marked red or blue gems to collect them. Reach every displayed gem target to finish the level. In either mode, the run ends only when the remaining pieces and available rescue options cannot keep it going.

Controls

Drag a candidate with the mouse and release over a valid preview. You can also select a piece and choose a board position using the game controls. Pause, Save Slot, Skip and Restart stay inside the game frame.

Drag a piece with one finger, then release when its whole preview fits the grid. An invalid drop returns it to the tray. The board stays 8 × 8 on phones; the candidate tray and Save Slot remain part of the same game.

Tips & Strategies

  • Check all three candidates before your first drop. A small piece can fit almost anywhere while a 3 × 3 square may have only one useful home.
  • Leave connected spaces rather than scattered single-cell holes. A long open lane is useful for the five-cell bars in either direction.
  • A row-and-column crossing clears two lines in one placement. Compare that opening with a quick single-line clear before committing.
  • Keep an eye on the three-placement Combo grace period. A safe setup move can be worthwhile, but a third non-clearing placement starts your next clear back at ×1.
  • Treat the Save Slot as a planning choice. Check what its stored shape will need before exchanging a difficult candidate for it.
  • In Adventure, follow the gems rather than the score alone. Clearing an easy empty line may not move a red or blue target any closer.

FAQ

Do the blocks need to have matching colors?
No. A complete row or column clears with any mix of block colors. The three visual themes use the same shapes, scoring and placement rules.
Can I rotate or flip a piece?
No. Each candidate has a fixed orientation. The shape library includes different directions as separate pieces, so leave space for the exact shape shown in your tray.
When do I get three new pieces?
After the current tray has been used up. You can choose the order of its pieces. Skip replaces only the candidates still in that tray; it leaves the board and the Save Slot unchanged.
How is a row-and-column crossing scored?
It counts as two cleared lines. At Combo ×1, that earns 20 points. The shared square is removed once, and a multi-line placement advances the Combo only once.
What resets my Combo?
Three successful placements in a row without clearing a line reset the Combo to ×1. A failed drop, saving or swapping a piece, and using Skip do not count as placements.
How often can I use the Save Slot and Skip?
You may hold or swap a piece once per tray, and the allowance refreshes for the next tray. Skip is free once per run. Both allowances are saved, so refreshing the page does not refill them.
What is different about Adventure?
Adventure has one hundred fixed puzzles. Gems are attached to occupied cells; clear a line through those cells to collect the gems. Meet every target to win, then unlock the next level. There is no countdown.
Does the game save my progress?
Yes, when browser storage is available. The board, candidates, saved piece, remaining Skip, random state, Combo and records are stored on this device. Adventure also keeps completed levels. Clearing this browser’s site data removes those local records.
Why can the run continue when a candidate does not fit?
You can use the pieces in any order. Another candidate, the saved piece or an available rescue may still help. The game checks the options that remain before deciding that the run is over.
