Color by Number Online
Pick a picture. Follow the numbers. Make something lovely, one little pixel at a time.
About This Game
Choose a number, follow its color and bring a small pixel picture to life. This pixel coloring game offers 100 original designs across animals, food, nature, vehicles, holidays and cute objects.
How to Play
- Choose a picture from the category picker. Easy uses a 12 × 12 grid, Normal 16 × 16, Hard 24 × 24 and Expert 32 × 32.
- Select a numbered paint pot in the tray inside the game frame. Tap or drag over cells with that number. Correct cells fill immediately. A wrong color leaves the cell unpainted and shows the number it needs.
- Complete every cell, including background cells. A check mark appears when a color is finished, and the progress bar counts correctly painted pixels.
- Use Export PNG to download your current artwork without grid lines or numbers. Finish the whole picture for the complete image, or export a work in progress. Restart clears only the current picture's attempt.
Controls
Click and drag with a mouse, or touch and drag with one finger to paint. Zoom + and Zoom − change magnification. Switch to Pan mode to move around the enlarged picture, then return to Paint mode. Fit canvas restores the original view. Choose colors from the numbered paint pots inside the game frame; while the canvas has focus, keys 1-9 select the corresponding color. The five toy icons control zoom out/in, Paint/Pan mode, Fit canvas and PNG export. Each returns keyboard focus to the canvas without scrolling.
Game Features
- 100 separate original pixel art coloring patterns across six categories, with at least 15 pictures in each.
- Four grid sizes, automatically numbered palettes and completed-color check marks.
- Continuous mouse and touch painting, visible wrong-color feedback and exact cell-based progress.
- Per-picture local autosave, PNG export, restart and a gentle completion celebration.
Tips & Strategies
- Finish one number at a time. The selected number's unpainted cells are highlighted to help you spot small areas.
- Zoom in on 24 × 24 or 32 × 32 designs before painting narrow details. Pan mode moves the picture without adding paint.
- Background pixels are part of the artwork. A picture reaches 100% only after every numbered cell is filled.
- Save a PNG when you want a copy outside this browser. Browser storage is specific to your device and may be cleared by browser settings.
FAQ
Is this color by number game timed?
No. There is no time limit, score pressure or losing state. You can pause a picture and continue at your own pace.
What happens if I use the wrong color?
The cell stays unpainted, its number is shown in the feedback message, and it is highlighted in pink. Wrong colors do not increase completion.
Will my pixel art coloring progress be saved?
Each picture has its own local save in this browser. Return to that picture to resume. If storage is blocked or full, the game displays a warning and keeps the attempt in memory.
Can I download the finished image?
Yes. Export PNG downloads the currently painted image without interface elements. Unfinished cells export as white, so finish the picture before exporting if you want all its colors.
